High School Senior Project: "An Old Fashioned Christmas" Banquet:
For my senior project, I successfully planned and organized an event called “An Old-Fashioned Christmas" which was a dinner and a show banquet celebration as a fundraiser for my high school music program. I coordinated the entire activity with chefs, office works, teachers, and students. I wrote the menu with the chefs, designed the room layout with my mentor, made decorations from scratch, wrote the script, designed costuming, spent over 40 hours working with my mentor in a two month period, attended a three hour dress rehearsal, worked the set up and takedown of the event for both production nights, and I hosted the event.

I call this arrangement "Walk in the Country." I built it as a freshman in college as my final design project for my floral arranging course. It is displayed in my father's office back home. Being the small town country girl I was raised as, I designed this work of art to reflect the love I have for the wide open spaces. The porcelain boot vase is representative of a presence in nature. I used pussy willow and some wild berry twigs to represent the rugged beauty of the outdoors, and I used wildflowers and greens to represent the peaceful serenity that the country offers.

I created this floral arrangement for my grandfather's funeral. Grandpa Murphey loved the outdoors and is a native Idahoan. To represent who he was, I used Saringa (the Idaho state flower), pine trees (because he loved camping), and greens from my family farm that represented his life as a farmer.

Years Serving on the Idaho Renaissance Faire team as a Project Coordinator 2014-2015:
I got involved and volunteered with planning and carrying out the Annual Idaho Renaissance Faire held the second week in October every year; my first year being 2014. I am the Lady Maid Marian and work as a project coordinator. The Idaho Renaissance Faire is a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to the exploration of Renaissance history and is a great family friendly community event. It is educational, lively, and exciting. The Idaho Renaissance Faire is truly a great experience.
