Kaloni Jensen
Certified International Event & Wedding Professional (IEWP), Certified International Event Decor. Professional (IEDP), Certified International Destination Wedding Professional (IDWP).
As a born and raised Idaho farm girl from rural Emmett, Kaloni's life on the multi-generational family farm taught her many life lessons which have helped her to succeed in all areas of life, personally and professionally. She's had the opportunity to be engaged in working the social services industry over the last years, and currently works as a case manager for Crossroads Counseling in Emmett while attending Northwest Nazarene University to complete her Masters in Social Work. With her focus directed on the future, She's a goal-oriented visionary who sees not only what is, but what can be.
I've always loved events, as long as I can remember. Growing up around my Aunt Brenda's restaurant & banquet hall learning to properly set a table for a wedding reception before I knew how to tie my shoes, this experience got me started in a life -long career path. I eventually learned to tie my shoes so I could help tie wedding chair sashes, and now I tie some complicated sash designs always trying to find something new. Not much has changed since then, I always loved seeing the brides at the restaurant when I was done with Kindergarten, and I still love seeing the brides all dressed up celebrating their special day.
Kaloni knew well before graduating high school that her heart lie in a career in the event industry. She bought her first Boise Wedding Party Show (now called The Boise Bridal Show) ticket as a junior in high school and began networking with vendors in the industry, learning about their services, studying their products, and researching for what makes quality.
Her senior year of high school, her beloved music program was under threat of being cancelled for the next year because of low funding in the program budget. For Kaloni's senior project, she successfully planned, organized, and decorated a dinner and show banquet fundraiser event called “An Old-Fashioned Christmas" which raised the needed funds for her high school music program. Planning events for a cause she was passionate about drove her to pursue event planning as a profession. The Event is featured in the Background Gallery.

At age 3, Kaloni became interested in her clogging dance sport; she won her first state and national dance titles at age 7. Kaloni's love for dance grew with her natural talent. She started learning social dance, country swing, and ballroom at a young age. By age 12 she was a dance instructor at a local dance studio.
In high school she was the choreographer for the jazz/show choir and active for a season on the high school cheerleading squad before having surgery preventing her to remain on the team. In 2011, Kaloni was honored with being inducted to the Gem Cloggers Hall of Fame after 18 years with the studio. She held a masquerade ball for her graduation party. Kaloni remained dancing with Gem Cloggers Dance Studio teaching and dancing on a team until she retired at 22 years with the dance studio. In college she was actively involved teaching weekly dance classes on campus, teaching private dance lessons, and competing in Ballroom Dance. |
"Our couples love when I choreograph their first dance to highlight their personalities!"

I was born and raised a small town farm girl and now I am a certified International Event and Wedding Professional, dance instructor, author, and social services worker serving in the Idaho Treasure Valley area. |
Kaloni continued her passion for party planning while at Brigham Young University-Idaho planning events for the university. While as a sophomore, she had the opportunity to work as both a team member and an event manager on campus through BYU-Idaho's Social Activities program.
Kaloni and her team planned a Modern Sock Hop Dance which was a success. They had catering from the school's bakery and Kiwi Loco, had a great DJ whose amazing lights changed as they followed the beat of the music. There was a bean bag seating area for those who wanted to sit and visit while catching their breath before the next song. A unique feature of the event was the "Shoe Valet Parking" where guests turned in their shoes and belongings to a secure area knowing their belongings were safe while they were having a good time. The night was a true success! On the right, is the video put together about the event. Our videographer, Rex Warner, was amazing at capturing the feel of the dance, doing interviews, as well as putting together the video.

In April of 2013, Kaloni became a graduate of BYU-Idaho with an Associates degree in Foundations and Interdisciplinary Studies. During her time there, she'd taken floristry, culinary, and sewing courses, as well as Introductions to architecture, home design and decoration. She was among the top of the class in her event management course.
After graduation, I got involved and volunteered with planning and carrying out the Annual Idaho Renaissance Faire held the second week in October every year; my first year being 2013. I served on the planning team for two years and held a position in the "royal court" of the Faire as the Lady Marian from Robin Hood. My work as a project coordinator was an incredible experience! The Idaho Renaissance Faire is a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to the exploration of Renaissance history and is a great family friendly community event. It is educational, lively, and exciting. Serving with the Idaho Renaissance Faire was truly a remarkable experience.
Images of The Idaho Renaissance Faire for 2013 and 2014 when Kaloni served on the planning team are available in the Background Gallery.
